High School Musical - week 2

Tonight we trek out to the Amphitheatre once again for a brush up rehearsal. After weeks of 5 day a week rehearsals, not to mentions 8 days straight without a day off, the cast and crew of HSM have not done the show since Sunday. Luckily for the audiences coming out tomorrow and Saturday we have a brush up tonight, so all those "what was I supposed to do now" moments that always seem to happen after several days off will be taken care of and the audiences will enjoy a top notch performance.

So many people have come up to me this past week to congratulate Civic Theatre on a successful production. Several people have acted almost shocked that they liked the show so much. It is fairly well established that the book (that is the script for a musical) is not the strongest ever written. That being said though several people have expressed to me that not only does this fine cast get beyond the limitations of the book, the show is wonderful.

There are still tickets available for this weekends shows, and the weather looks clear, so we are all set.
I hope to see many of you at the theatre this weekend.
