Katie Biehl plays Darlene, an 18-year-old girl whose mother has passed away. She leaves for Nashville to pursue her dream of singing music when her father ignores her and chooses to focus on his grief.
"One reason I auditioned for Honky Tonk Angels is the music. When I read the synopsis, I realized I knew and liked a lot of the songs. I'm a fan of the older style of country music, which is the style this show focuses on," Katie said.
She said another highlight of the show is the personalities of the characters.
"They are three very different people, yet they come together harmoniously," she explained.
