Announcing the cast of The Importance of Being Earnest

Director Steve Martin has announced the cast for The Importance of Being Earnest, the third production of the 2008-2009 Civic Youth Theatre season. The script is by Oscar Wilde.

The cast includes:

  • Algernon Moncrieff - Bryce Robinson
  • Lane, the manservant - Jake Ott
  • Jack Worthing, J.P. - Kevin Barlow
  • Lady Bracknell - Madeleine Bien
  • Hon. Gwendolen Fairfax - Margaret Duvall
  • Miss Prism, the governess - Christine Furtner
  • Cecily Cardew - Jessica Hoffmann
  • Rev. Canon Chasuble - Nate Denson
  • Merriman, the butler - Zack Nantz
The production of The Importance of Being Earnest will open Friday, April 3, and run through Sunday, April 5, at the historic Monon Depot Theatre in downtown Lafayette.
