In the Wings: The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fair(l)y (Stoopid) Tales. Meet Taylor Bundy.

Taylor Bundy plays The Stinky Cheese Man in The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fair(l)y Stoopid Tales, a musical based on the book of the same name by Jon Scieszka. It is the final production of the 2008-2009 Civic Youth Theatre Season at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette.

Taylor described the show's content and style.

"The show is filled with silly humor. It's something the whole family can enjoy," she said.

Taylor knew about Scieszka's book before auditions, calling it "hilarious." She then described the story about the Stinky Cheese Man.

"First, he is baked in an oven by his mother, the Little Old Woman" Taylor said. "He then runs away, and he wants people to play with him but no one does because he smells bad."

Taylor said rehearsals are fun because directors Melanie R. Buchanan and Laurie Russell work hard to make the show look amazing.

"They make everything look good," she said. "If it doesn't, they have the actors rehearse it again."

The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fair(l)y Stoopid Tales opens Friday, June 5 and runs through June 7. The Friday and Saturday evening shows begin at 7:00 p.m.; the Sunday afternoon show begins at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for youth.
