As Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette begins its 2009-2010 season, we're including a brief series about how the theatre-going experience can be made even more enjoyable for all members of the community.
In his About.com article "5 Tips for Taking Children to the Theater," Paul Cozby offers suggestions on bringing children to performances as audience members. One of his suggestions: prepare them for what they are about to see. He says children will be able to follow the plot and the characters' actions better because of it. This preparation won't "spoil" the show because kids will be entranced by the action onstage.
