Behind the scenes of the "A Living Graphic Novel" workshop

About a dozen volunteers came together Saturday afternoon at Imagination Station on 600 N. 4th Street in Lafayette to participate in "A Living Graphic Novel," an event created by Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette and Purdue University Galleries. It was part of a series of events for the 2009 One Great Read program, in which people read Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood, a graphic novel about a young girl's life in Iran.

Below are some photographs of the volunteers in action at A Living Graphic Novel, creating a story, building and painting backdrops, putting on costumes and posing for photographs.
