In the Wings: The Mousetrap. Meet Michael Greenan.

Michael Greenan plays Detective Sergeant Trotter in The Mousetrap, the first production of the 2009-2010 MainStage Season of Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette. The script is by Agatha Christie.

Trotter travels to Mollie and Giles Ralston's guest house after a murder has been committed in the area.

"A clue was found on the dead woman's body that linked Monkswell Manor to her murder," Michael said. "Trotter arrives on the scene to get to the bottom of things and discover the culprit."

Michael explained what audiences will most remember after seeing a performance of the show.

"There are several intriguing characters in the show: Paravicini, who is kind of sketchy; Giles and Mollie Ralston, the struggling newlyweds; Major Metcalf, too," he said. "They also will remember the suspenseful plot and the clever twists and turns."

The Mousetrap runs three consecutive weekends from September 4-20 at the historic Monon Depot Theatre in downtown Lafayette. Shows on Friday and Saturday evenings begin at 8:00 p.m.; shows on Sunday afternoons begin at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for youth age 18 and under.
