In the Wings: A Christmas Story. Meet Ross Klink.
Ross Klink plays Scut Farkus in A Christmas Story, the second production of the 2009-2010 MainStage season at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette. The show is based on the movie of the same name.
Ross said Scut is very different from him.
“Scut is kind of a mean kid. He’s the bully in the play,” Ross said. “Scut likes to hurt the other kid characters.”
Ross knew the movie before he auditioned, which is why he wanted to be part of the show.
“It’s very funny,” he said. “I like being funny and making people laugh.”
Ross finished by explaining what audiences will most remember about the play.
“They’ll remember how funny it is and how desperate Ralphie is for his gun," he said.
A Christmas Story runs three consecutive weekends from Friday, December 4 to Sunday, December 20 at the historic Monon Depot Theatre in downtown Lafayette. There also are performances on Thursday, December 10 and December 17.
