In the Wings: Snow White. Meet Grace Eckhardt.

Grace Eckhardt plays Sleepy in Snow White, the third production of the 2009-2010 Civic Youth Theatre season at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette. The script is by J. Michael Straczynski.

Grace makes her Civic Theatre acting debut with this production.

"My friend Abby has done several Civic shows and I thought it would be fun to do one too," she said.

Grace said Sleepy is always very sleepy in the show, but he also is a hero.

"Sleepy saves everyone's life one of the times Snow White is threatened," she said.

Grace concluded by suggesting what the audience will enjoy about the show.

"People will love the trees. They're very cute," she said. "All the trees are played by six-year-old kids."

Snow White runs from Friday, February 26 to Sunday, February 28 at the historic Monon Depot Theatre in downtown Lafayette. Shows on Friday and Saturday evenings begin at 7:00 p.m., and the show on Sunday afternoon begins at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for youth age 18 and under.
