In the Wings: Snow White. Meet Summer Adams.

Summer Adams plays the Princess in Snow White, the third production of the 2009-2010 Civic Youth Theatre season at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette. The script is by J. Michael Straczynski.

Summer said she enjoys acting and takes every opportunity she can to audition.

"I thought it was very cool that Snow White was being produced at Civic," she said. "I have seen other versions besides the Walt Disney version but I had never seen this version before."

Summer said the Princess is one of the Queen's alter egos.

"The Princess is evil, outgoing and snobbish," she said. "When the audience first sees her, the Princess just wants Snow White dead."

Summer said audiences will notice that the play is very different from the Disney version.

"There are a lot of great actors in the show and a lot of people stick out," she said.

Snow White runs from Friday, February 26 to Sunday, February 28 at the historic Monon Depot Theatre in downtown Lafayette. Shows on Friday and Saturday evenings begin at 7:00 p.m., and the show on Sunday afternoon begins at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for youth age 18 and under.
