In the Wings: Enter Love: A Musical for Our Times. Meet Eric Francis.

Eric Francis plays Guy in Enter Love: A Musical for Our Times, an original musical with music and lyrics by Lynn Lupold and book by Don Seybold. It will make its world premiere at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette.

Eric said Guy always is on the road due to business and often is in the airport where the show is set.

"Guy kind of has a thing for Alex, one of the bartenders in the airport," he said. Alex is played by Eric's wife, Carrie Francis.

Eric said every element of the show is high quality.

"From the music to the arrangements to the book and to my fellow performers, everything is above top notch. It's a treat to work with this level of talent," he said.

Eric concluded by suggesting what audiences will take away after a performance of Enter Love: A Musical for Our Times.

"The show contains so many parts of the spectrum of relationships," he said. "There will be something for everyone to hook onto, to catch onto. They'll say, 'That's me.'"

Enter Love: A Musical for Our Times opens Friday, August 13 and runs through Saturday, August 21 at the historic Monon Depot Theatre at the corner of 5th Street and North Street in downtown Lafayette. Friday and Saturday evening performances begin at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday afternoon performances begin at 2:30 p.m.
