In the Wings: Enter Love: A Musical for Our Times. Meet Aaron Strand.

Aaron Strand plays Austin in Enter Love: A Musical for Our Times, an original musical with music and lyrics by Lynn Lupold and book by Don Seybold. It will make its world premiere at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette.

Aaron said Austin's work habits are affecting his relationship with his wife.

"He does a lot of traveling, and she doesn't like that," he said. "It's causing problems with her and his kids."

Aaron suggested what the subtitle means and how audiences may relate.

"There are so many ways to find people to love: the Internet, the bars, finding someone that goes to your school. There are so many ways to experience love and in the show there are a bunch represented: breaking up or meeting some random good-looking girl," he said. "There are a lot of ways the audience can relate to all the experiences in the storyline."

Aaron concluded by complimenting the music in the show.

"The audience will remember these great songs, especially the heartwarming ones that will touch them deep," he said.

Enter Love: A Musical for Our Times opens Friday, August 13 and runs through Saturday, August 21 at the historic Monon Depot Theatre at the corner of 5th Street and North Street in downtown Lafayette. Friday and Saturday evening performances begin at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday afternoon performances begin at 2:30 p.m.
