Lobby renovations in the historic Monon Depot Theatre are complete!
There is an air of newness in the lobby of Civic Theatre's historic Monon Depot Theatre. Thanks to the generosity of our many supporters who responded to last fall's No-Show Ball, we were able to implement more than $8,400 worth of repairs and upgrades to 29-year-old lobby.
A leaking roof and general wear and tear led to a lobby in rough shape. Stained carpets, holes in walls, peeling paint and general dinginess have been replaced with patched, freshly painted walls - including color in the box office for the first time! - and a brand new carpet.
Thank you to everyone who helped with the renovation, and most importantly to the many people who responded to our call to action in last year's No-Show Ball.
As a bonus, we also were able to give a much needed facelift to our poster marquee box. Fresh paint and a newly designed hanging system give new life to another historic piece of our building.
