Announcing auditions: How I Learned to Drive

Audition dates have been set for How I Learned to Drive, the second staged reading in Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette's 2010-2011 season. Auditions will be held 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, October 10 and Monday, October 11 at the Civic Theatre office at 313 N. 5th Street in downtown Lafayette.

Director Jeffrey Spanke seeks:
  • * 3 men, ages 20-50
  • * 2 women, ages 20-50
Those auditioning will be asked to read from the script. Copies are available for check-out at the Civic Theatre office.

A wildly funny, surprising and devastating tale of survival as seen through the lens of a troubling relationship between a young girl and an older man. How I Learned to Drive is the story of a woman who learns the rules of the road and life from behind the wheel.

The staged reading of How I Learned to Drive will be held Tuesday, November 9 at 7:30 p.m. at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette at the corner of 5th Street and North Street. There will be a brief discussion immediately following. This is a Pay What You Can event.
