2011 Young at Arts Civic Youth Theatre Intensive Summer Camp: The Music Man Jr.

Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette is registering students for the 2011 Young at Arts Civic Youth Theatre Summer Camps. One of the camps being offered is a 4-week intensive summer camp to create a full-scale production of The Music Man Jr. with lights, sound and costumes.

This is the fourth year Civic Youth Theatre has offered an intensive summer camp experience. Days will consist of classes in voice, movement and acting, and rehearsing The Music Man Jr.

All camp participants will be cast in the show. This camp is for students between the ages of 9 and 18. It runs July 5 through July 29, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The conclusion of camp will be evening performances on July 29 and July 30, along with matinee performances on July 30 and July 31. The cost of the camp is $400.

Registration forms for the 4-week intensive summer camp of The Music Man Jr. will be accepted starting March 21. All spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Students who are interested in being on the tech crew for The Music Man Jr. but cannot attend the 4-week camp can contact Civic Theatre at 765-423-7529 to learn about possible open crew positions.
