Announcing auditions for Rabbit Hole

Director Steve Martin has announced auditions for Rabbit Hole, the third production of the 2011-2012 MainStage season at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette.

Auditions will be held Sunday, November 20 from 3-5 p.m. and Monday, November 21 from 7-9 p.m. at the Civic Theatre office at 313 N. 5th Street in downtown Lafayette.

Those auditioning will be asked to read from the script - copies can be checked out from the Civic Theatre office - and to stay at late as possible at auditions.

The director is looking to cast the following roles:

Becca, mid-30s to early 40s.
Izzy, mid-30s, Becca's sister.
Howie, late 30s to early 40s, Becca's husband.
Nat, late 50s to early 60s, Becca and Izzy's mother.

Becca and Howie Corbett have everything a family could want, until a life-shattering accident turns their world upside down and leaves the couple drifting perilously apart. Rabbit Hole charts their bittersweet search for comfort in the darkest of places and for a path that will lead them back into the light of day.

Rabbit Hole will open Friday, January 20 and run through Sunday, February 5 in the historic Monon Depot Theatre. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Sunday performances begin at 2:30 p.m.
