Taylor Bundy plays Adelaide in Guys and Dolls, the first of two summer productions from Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette in 2012. The music and lyrics are by Frank Loesser; the book is by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows.
Question: Why did you want to be part of Guys and Dolls?
Taylor Bundy: I love Frank Sinatra and Marlon Brando; they were in the movie. I was like, "I want to be in the show so badly, and I want to be Adelaide so badly!"
Q: What is it like having to create a show in such a short amount of time?
T.B.: It's terrifying. I'm so scared. I want everything to be ready and right. It's scary and fun at the same time. You have to push yourself to be ready.
Q: In real life, are you more like a Save-a-Soul person, or are you a gangster?
T.B.: I'm a gangster for sure.
Guys and Dolls will run July 20 and 21 at the Tippecanoe County Amphitheater Park, 4449 State Road 43 North, West Lafayette. The shows begin at 7:30 p.m.
