Announcing auditions: Company

Director Shannon Sabel has announced audition information for Company, the final show in the 2012-2013 MainStage season at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette. The book is by George Furth, the music and lyrics are by Stephen Sondheim.

Auditions will be held Sunday, February 17 from 7-10 p.m. at Oakland High School, 611 S. 21st St. Lafayette. Additional preliminary auditions may be held February 18 from 7-10 p.m. Auditions will take place in 10 minute blocks; everyone is asked to arrive 20 minutes prior to their scheduled time to complete paperwork. Auditioners are asked to sing a song that shows off their range and musicality, preferably something by Stephen Sondheim. A pianist will be provided, but auditioners must bring their own sheet music.

Callbacks will be held February 21 from 7-10 p.m.

Shannon is looking for 6 men who can play ages ranging from 35-60 and 8 women between who can play ages ranging from 25-55. Company will be performed Friday, May 3 through Saturday, May 18 at the historic Monon Depot Theatre in downtown Lafayette. The Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m. The Sunday shows are at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors and $10 for youth age 18 and under. College students with valid ID can learn about Rush tickets before each show by following @LafayetteCivic.
