Announcing 2013 Spring Break Camps

Lori Portner, Civic Theatre's Director of Outreach and Education, has announced the schedule of 2013 Spring Break Camps at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette.

The Spring Break Camps are for youth ages 8-12. The cost is $150.

The one-week camps, held at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette, will be:

* March 11-15, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., for West Lafayette Community School Corporation
* March 25-29, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., for Lafayette School Corporation and Tippecanoe County School Corporation

Each day of camp will consist of classes in improvisation, movement, acting and rehearsals for the show Character Matters. All camp participants will be cast.

Performances of Character Matters will be:

* Friday, March 15 at 5 p.m. for the West Lafayette Spring Break Camp
* Friday, March 29 at 5 p.m. for the Lafayette and Tippecanoe County Spring Break Camp

Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Fairy Tale Advice Council! Led by Rapunzel, a Handsome Prince and a (recovering) Wicked Witch, the council offers help in character-building to famous folk creatures. Filled with humor and fantastic songs, Character Matters is a wildly fun new way to look at some favorite fairy tale characters.
