Erin O'Connor plays June in Silent Treatment, one of six plays that are part of the inaugural 10-Minute Play Festival at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette. The play was written and directed by Scott Haan. The festival will be at 7:30 p.m. on June 21-22 at the historic Monon Depot Theatre in downtown Lafayette.
Question: How would you describe June?
Erin O'Connor: June is a gentle, friendly character, but she has a devious side to her and will take advantage of her friends when she can.
Q: What is a challenge or a fun part of acting in a ten-minute play that you don't get in a full-length play?
E.O'C.: The fun part is not having an hour's worth of lines to memorize. I like it because it's fast paced, you've got a story that fills itself out in ten minutes, and it's kind of exciting to have it go that fast.
Q: Fill in the blank: "In the time it takes me to _____, I could watch a 10-minute play."
E.O'C.: "answer this question"
