Ted Malone plays Wilson in Feed Me!, one of six plays that are part of the inaugural 10-Minute Play Festival at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette. The play was written and directed by Zachary Baiel. The festival will be at 7:30 p.m. on June 21-22 at the historic Monon Depot Theatre in downtown Lafayette.
Question: How would you describe Wilson?
Ted Malone: Wilson is a self-centered cat, but I'm being redundant. He is a big boy, he likes to eat, and he likes to control who gives him attention and who does not.
Q: What is a challenge or a fun part of acting in a ten-minute play that you don't get in a full-length play?
T.M.: The fun part is you don't have to pace yourself. You can give all energy in the first ten minutes. The drawback is that you don't have a warm up period.
Q: Fill in the blank: "In the time it takes me to _____, I could watch a 10-minute play."
T.M.: "wash the dishes"
