In the Wings: A Midsummer Night's Dream. Meet Emma Kaufman.

Emma Kaufman plays Snug in A Midsummer Night's Dream, the first of two summer productions from Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette. The play is by William Shakespeare.

Question: Who is Snug?
Emma Kaufman: Snug is one of the mechanicals; they're almost the comedy relief. Snug is part of a group of people that are funny, and they put on a play within this play.

Q: What do you like most about Shakespeare?
E.K.: I like Shakespeare because his writing is so different than today's.

Q: What would be a dream come true for you?
E.K.: Being able to play the violin, as I get older, professionally. I've studied five or six years already.

A Midsummer Night's Dream will run June 28 and 29 at 7:30 p.m. at the Tippecanoe County Amphitheater Park, 4449 State Road 43 North, West Lafayette.

General admission tickets cost $10 per person and can be purchased by visiting http://lafayettecivic.tix.com or calling 765-423-7529.

The mission of Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette is to enhance the artistic and cultural environment of Greater Lafayette through theatrical productions and educational opportunities.
