In the Wings: A Midsummer Night's Dream. Meet Alec Friedman.

Alec Friedman plays Oberon in A Midsummer Night's Dream, the first of two summer productions from Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette. The play is by William Shakespeare.

Question: Who is Oberon?
Alec Friedman: Oberon is King of the Fairies. He is often manipulative, he'll do whatever it takes to get what he wants. He puts a love potion on Titania to get a changeling.

Q: Why do you like Shakespeare?
A.F.: It's so well thought out. Every word is chosen perfectly.

Q: What would be a dream come true for you?
A.F.: I've got to say driving in a '65 Mustang across the country. That would be fun.

A Midsummer Night's Dream will run June 28 and 29 at 7:30 p.m. at the Tippecanoe County Amphitheater Park, 4449 State Road 43 North, West Lafayette.

General admission tickets cost $10 per person and can be purchased by visiting http://lafayettecivic.tix.com or calling 765-423-7529.

The mission of Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette is to enhance the artistic and cultural environment of Greater Lafayette through theatrical productions and educational opportunities.
