Kathleen Loftus plays Francis Flute in A Midsummer Night's Dream, the first of two summer productions from Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette. The play is by William Shakespeare.
Question: Who is Francis Flute?
Kathleen Loftus: Francis doesn't like acting that much, but he does it because he doesn't have a very good job. He plays Thisbe in Pyramus and Thisbe, the mini-play, but he doesn't want to play a woman.
Q: Why do you like Shakespeare?
K.L.: I like Shakespeare because it's very well thought out and very funny and original.
Q: What would be a dream come true for you?
K.L.: I'm a big Doctor Who fan, so if I got to travel with the Doctor that would be a dream.
A Midsummer Night's Dream will run June 28 and 29 at 7:30 p.m. at the Tippecanoe County Amphitheater Park, 4449 State Road 43 North, West Lafayette.
