Director Larry Sommers has announced audition information for Still Kicking, the first show in the 2013-2014 MainStage season at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette. Laurie Russell, a Civic Theatre volunteer, wrote the script; this will be its world premiere production.
By turns funny and touching, Still Kicking tells the story of a troubled young girl forced to volunteer at a local retirement center. The people she meets teach her important lessons about life, love, and lifting with your legs, not your back.
Auditions will be Sunday, July 14 and Monday, July 15, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the historic Monon Depot Theatre, 320 N. 5th Street, located at the corner of 5th Street and North Street in downtown Lafayette.
Actors will be asked to read from the script, which can be checked out from Civic Theatre's office at 313 N. 5th Street in Lafayette.
Larry is looking for the following:
* Nine (9) women, ages 60-85
* One (1) man, age 60-85
* Two (2) women, ages mid-30s to mid-50s
* One (1) man, age mid-30s to mid-50s
