Marisa Simmons plays Bonnie in Still Kicking, the first MainStage production in the 2013-2014 season at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette. The play is by Civic Theatre volunteer Laurie Russell.
Question: Why did you audition for Still Kicking?
Marisa Simmons: I played Bonnie in the staged reading, and enjoyed being part of this show. I wanted to be part of the MainStage production.
Q: Who is Bonnie? What is she like?
M.S.: Bonnie is a physical therapist, and enjoys the people at the retirement home. She thinks they're a little kooky.
Q: What is the best advice you received from an older person?
M.S.: I remember my grandfather saying, "Want to watch my thumb disappear?"
