Nicole Johal plays Charlotte in Charlotte's Web, the second Civic Youth Theatre production in the 2013-2014 season at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette. Joseph Robinette adapted the script from the book by E. B. White.
Question: Why did you audition for Charlotte's Web?
Nicole Johal: This is my second Civic show. The first one, Antigone, was really sad so I wanted to do something happier.
Q: What is Charlotte like?
N.J.: Charlotte is a spider. She, in a way, is a natural leader. She's a very good friend, too. She knows how to be there for someone.
Q: What are your favorite farm animals?
N.J.: Probably goats because they're really cute.
Charlotte's Web runs Friday, November 15 through Saturday, November 17 at the historic Monon Depot Theatre, 320 N. 5th Street, at the corner of 5th Street and North Street in downtown Lafayette. Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7:30 p.m. The Sunday show begins at 2:30 p.m.
