Arliss Jeffries plays Mr. Potter in It's a Wonderful Life, a Radio Play, the holiday show in the 2013-2014 season at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette. Philip Grecian adapted the script based on the film directed by Frank Capra.
Question: What is fun about playing Mr. Potter in this production of It's a Wonderful Life, a Radio Play?
Arliss Jeffries: Potter is the villain, he tries to take over everything in the town. He's mean. He does lots of things that have been going on the last five years: foreclosures, buying up properties that others can't afford anymore and getting them at half price.
Q: What is your favorite holiday book, song or movie?
A.J.: Holiday Inn. It's the black-and-white version of White Christmas. It's an honest show, far more honest than the big Technicolor version that came out just a few years later.
