In the Wings: It's a Wonderful Life, a Radio Play. Meet E. Linda Jeffries.

E. Linda Jeffries plays Mrs. Bailey and Mrs. Patridge in It's a Wonderful Life, a Radio Play, the holiday show in the 2013-2014 season at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette. Philip Grecian adapted the script based on the film directed by Frank Capra.

Question: What is fun about being in this production of It's a Wonderful Life, a Radio Play?
E. Linda Jeffries: It's a different way to tell a story, it's nice to do something different. There is minimal staging: you need to get people to the right place at the right time, but you couldn't do full staging with twenty-plus people up there.

Q: What is your favorite holiday book, movie or song?
E.L.J.: We already have begun singing advent music in church choir. It's a good lead up, we have it on a progressive basis through choir season. It's wonderful to have a lot of time to prepare mentally.

It's a Wonderful Life, a Radio Play runs Friday, December 6 through Sunday, December 22 at the historic Monon Depot Theatre, 320 N. 5th Street, at the corner of 5th Street and North Street in downtown Lafayette. Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7:30 p.m. The Sunday shows begin at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors and $10 for youth age 18 and under. Tickets can be purchased by calling 765-423-7529 or visiting
