In the Wings: Mame. Meet Barry Kemble.

Barry Kemble is in the chorus of Mame, the fifth and final show in the 2013-2014 MainStage season at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette. Jerry Herman wrote the music and lyrics. Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee wrote the book based on the novel "Auntie Mame" by Patrick Dennis.

Question: What do you like about this musical?
Barry Kemble: It’s a good, timeless classic. It’s got a lot of catchy tunes, and the audience should enjoy that.

Q: What makes your life a banquet?
B.K.: My life’s banquet now is my kids. I’ve got a 7 year old and a 15 month old. They take up all my time, and that’s a great thing for me.
