In the Wings: Mame. Meet Natalie Long.

Natalie Long is in the chorus of Mame, the fifth and final show in the 2013-2014 MainStage season at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette. Jerry Herman wrote the music and lyrics. Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee wrote the book based on the novel "Auntie Mame" by Patrick Dennis.

Question: Why did you audition for the musical?
Natalie Long: I auditioned because I was told Susan Kisinger was directing the show.

Q: What makes your life a banquet?
N.L.: I like family and friends. I also like books, especially fantasy books. My favorite author is J.K. Rowling.

Mame runs Friday, May 9 through Sunday, May 11 at Sunnyside Intermediate School, 530 N. 26th Street in Lafayette. Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7:30 p.m. The Sunday show begins at 2:30 p.m.
