Bill Knapp plays The Clerk in The Best of Intentions, one of seven plays that are part of the second annual 10-Minute Play Festival at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette. It was written by Laurie Russell.
Question: Who is The Clerk? What is he like?
Bill Knapp: The Clerk is very sympathetic to The Man and his bad day. He's trying to check in The Man, furiously typing away as The Man tells his story. He lends a very sympathetic ear to what he's being told.
Q: What is a challenge or something exciting about acting in a 10-minute play?
B.K.: I didn't get to act in the festival last year. It's interesting to see how a 10-minute play works in comparison.
Q: Fill in the blank: "In the time it takes me to _____, I could watch a 10-minute play."
B.K.: "have a cup of tea"
