It was written by Steve Martin.
Question: Who is Miss Ella Louella Santa Rose Plum?
Kathy Dietz: She is everyone's absolute favorite elementary school teacher. She loves and nurtures her kids and helps them want to learn. They listen to her and they gather so much more from her than just academics.
Q: What is a challenge or something exciting about acting in a 10-minute play?
K.D.: With a 10-minute play, you have a smaller rehearsal period. You get the script, you learn it fast, you learn about the other actors – in this case some incredible young people I get to work with. The exciting part is that you have to throw it together so quickly. Normally over time and rehearsal, it develops naturally. In this case, it has to be sped up. It makes it exciting because of the added challenge.
Q: Fill in the blank: "In the time it takes me to _____, I could watch a 10-minute play."
K.D.: "walk my dog"
