Announcing auditions: Circle Mirror Transformation, August 3-4

Director Kate Martin has announced auditions for Annie Baker's "Circle Mirror Transformation," the first staged reading of the 2014-2015 staged reading series at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette.

When four lost New Englanders who enroll in Marty's six-week-long community-center drama class begin to experiment with harmless games, hearts are quietly torn apart, and tiny wars of epic proportions are waged and won. A beautifully crafted diorama, a petri dish in which we see, with hilarious detail and clarity, the antic sadness of a motley quintet.

Auditions will be Sunday, August 3 and Monday, August 4, 6:30-9 p.m. each night. They will be held at Civic Theatre's office, 313 N. 5th Street in downtown Lafayette. Those auditioning will read from the script and will be asked to stay for the entire scheduled audition period.
