In the Wings: A Wrinkle in Time. Meet Matthew Roberts.

Matthew Roberts plays Charles Wallace Murry in A Wrinkle in Time, the first show in the 2014-2015 Civic Youth Theatre season at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette. The play is based on Madeleine L'Engle's classic fantasy novel.

Question: Who is Charles Wallace Murry? What does he want?
Matthew Roberts: He wants to see Mrs. Whatsit because his mom is freaking out about the Tesseract and her husband.

Q: What is fun or exciting about the story of "A Wrinkle in Time"?
M.R.: It's a classic. Lots people love it, and they'll want to come see it. It's a good show.

Q: What is your favorite science fiction or fantasy book, movie, TV show or character?
M.R.: "Doctor Who." It's about time traveling, and this doctor dude is traveling around in spacetime, and it's awesome.

A Wrinkle in Time runs Friday, September 26 through Sunday, September 28 at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette, 320 N. 5th Street in downtown Lafayette. Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7:30 p.m. The Sunday show begins at 2:30 p.m.
