In the Wings: A Wrinkle in Time. Meet Shelby Gray.



Shelby Gray plays Meg Murry in A Wrinkle in Time, the first show in the 2014-2015 Civic Youth Theatre season at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette. The play is based on Madeleine L'Engle's classic fantasy novel.

Question: Who is Meg Murry? What does she want?
Shelby Gray: Meg is a 12-year-old girl. Her father has been missing for two years. She is really good at math and science, but she doesn't have much confidence in school. Meg wants to be reunited with her father.

Q: What is fun or exciting about the story of "A Wrinkle in Time"?
S.G.: Everything. There are a lot of twists I wouldn't have expected.

Q: What is your favorite science fiction or fantasy book, movie, TV show or character?
S.G. "A Wrinkle in Time."

A Wrinkle in Time runs Friday, September 26 through Sunday, September 28 at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette, 320 N. 5th Street in downtown Lafayette. Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7:30 p.m. The Sunday show begins at 2:30 p.m.
