In the Wings: A Christmas Story, the Musical. Meet Leo Crampton.

Leo Crampton plays Randy in A Christmas Story, the Musical, the holiday show in the 2014-2015 season at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette.

The show runs Friday, Dec. 12 through Sunday, Dec. 14 at Long Center for the Performing Arts, 111 N. 6th Street in downtown Lafayette. You can purchase tickets by calling 765-423-7529 or visiting http://lafayettecivic.tix.com.

Question: Who is Randy?
Leo Crampton: He's a little kid, he's Ralphie's younger brother. He's very funny at times. He's picky about his food and he doesn't like to talk.

Q: What is your favorite part of this show?
L.C.: Me singing a heartwarming song before the Old Man comes home.

Q: Did you know the movie before you auditioned?
L.C.: Yes. We watch it every Christmas. It's a tradition. My favorite part is when he's on Santa's lap before he goes down the slide.

Q: Was there one Christmas gift you wanted as much as Ralphie wants the BB gun?
L.C.: Yeah, a ninth edition atlas. I love geography and history. I have a whole collection of atlases.

The mission of Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette is to enhance the artistic and cultural environment of Greater Lafayette through theatrical productions and educational opportunities.
