Announcing the cast of "And Then They Came for Me: Remembering the World of Anne Frank"


Director Tori Rosa has announced the cast of James Still's "And Then They Came for Me: Remembering the World of Anne Frank," the first show in the 2015-2016 Civic Youth Theatre season at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette.

The cast includes:

* Young Ed/Pappy: Aaron Walker
* Young Eva: Shelby Gray
* Anne: Colleen Pedley
* Heinz/Ed's Father: Gavin Duffy
* Ed's Mother: Amelia Goins
* Mutti: Ingrid Lund-Mikkelsen
* Hitler Youth: Leo Crampton

The show will be performed Friday, October 9 through Sunday, October 11 at the historic Monon Depot Theatre, 320 N. 5th Street in downtown Lafayette.

The staged reading series: Jessica Dickey's "The Amish Project," Sept.15



Jessica Dickey's "The Amish Project" is a fictional exploration of the Nickel Mines schoolhouse shooting in an Amish community, and the path of forgiveness and compassion forged in its wake.

The cast of "The Amish Project" is ready to share this tale as a staged reading 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 15.

This is a Pay What You Can event.

What sound or noise do you love? This sweet little humming noise my kids make once in a while when they sleep

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Carpentry

What is your favorite word? Christmas. It represents faith and fun and family and joy. And turkey dinner with all the fixings





What is your least favorite word? swat this is recent, btw. It comes out squat every time. I literally can't say it aloud.


What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? Music is my constant resource for creativity ,  spirituality ,  and emotional  support
 

What turns you off? Lying is a huge turn off. Be real or don't  bother to hang out with  me. It's disrespectful  and  I  have  a  zero  tolerance  for it.


What is your favorite curse word/phrase? (edited for this blog) Shoot because it's the only one I ever heard my dad  say so it can't be so awful

What sound or noise do you love? ocean waves are a favorite sound. God's music, I suppose.
 

What sound or noise do you hate? Hate the sound of people  who  chew food open mouthed. Worse than fingernails down a chalkboard in my opinion.


What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? I should have been a flight attendant  when I was young and single. Today  I would love to be an interior  designer

What profession would you not like to do? Would never want to be a judge.


If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? I hope God greets me with, "Welcome. You did okay  down there."  I think that would  be  more than  I deserve.

What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? Spiritually, helping others, Emotionally, a kind word or touch, and Creatively, funny energy and well-written words.

What turns you off? Elitism and by hearing that those less fortunate are treated or spoken about poorly.

What is your favorite curse word/phrase? poopysquats

What sound or noise do you love? my children's laughter

What sound or noise do you hate? Anything loud, out of place, and repetitive

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Flight attendant

What profession would you not like to do? Toilet cleaning profession, but I'm grateful to those who do it!

If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? When I (hopefully) get to heaven, I would like God to say, "Well done, child. Come see those who have gone before you, but first, here is a tray of the finest chocolates!"
